New Years and Utah Trip

So the day before the rest of my family is leaving to go to Utah for a week without us to spend New Years there Kjell tells my parents, who couldn't decide if they should drive or fly, that if they drive the kids and I could go with them. Kjell and I had decided not to go so we could save the money and because we were trying to move into our house. Also January First is a very busy day for Kjell at work so he wouldn't be able to take time off. When I looked at him shocked he was like well if you all go I could get a lot done at the new house and I wouldn't feel bad not spending the time with you. I was concerned about New Years and not being able to celebrate together and he pointed out that we have spent at least half our New Year's together apart. So I packed up my kids and we went. Drew was very happy to spend the extra time with all of his cousins from my side. When we are all together I hardly see him.

We went sledding up at Soldier Hollow and the older kids loved it. My dad took Chaz as I couldn't sled and he hated it! He loved to play in the snow though and like the hotdogs we ate for lunch afterwards even more!
There was lots of snow this trip and the kids loved building snowmen. We also celebrated my dad's birthday on the second. I had fun relaxing as I got lots of help with the kids.

Hope Everyone is enjoying their New Year and a month how are those resolutions coming?

Christmas

I know I am a little behind but I want to turn my blog into a scrapbook someday so I have to play catch-up. We had a great Christmas. It was really fun watching Chaz open presents. I felt bad because he is so young and doesn't ask for presents so we didn't get him much. I was out on Christmas Eve at the store trying to decide what to get him because I had nothing yet. It ended up that the toy I picked he loved and didn't even want to open anything else after that. He did enjoy sitting in the presents though. His vocabulary seamed to take off as well. He was saying Santa, tree, pretty, lights, all these new words. At Christmas dinner he was playing with my grandma. We call her grandma Nancy and he was flirting with her. Drew had a Transformer Christmas. Almost every present was a transformer or at least had the logo on it. He was so excited each time he opened one. Nana and Papa sent him one of his favorites he won't let Chaz touch it. Kjell and I got stuff and gifts certificates for the house, which is almost ready for us to move to. I will post pictures on that soon. We enjoyed reading all the Christmas cards and I enjoyed being in the kitchen with my mom and the kids. Now that it's over it seams like it went by to fast.
