So the day before the rest of my family is leaving to go to Utah for a week without us to spend New Years there Kjell tells my parents, who couldn't decide if they should drive or fly, that if they drive the kids and I could go with them. Kjell and I had decided not to go so we could save the money and because we were trying to move into our house. Also January First is a very busy day for Kjell at work so he wouldn't be able to take time off. When I looked at him shocked he was like well if you all go I could get a lot done at the new house and I wouldn't feel bad not spending the time with you. I was concerned about New Years and not being able to celebrate together and he pointed out that we have spent at least half our New Year's together apart. So I packed up my kids and we went. Drew was very happy to spend the extra time with all of his cousins from my side. When we are all together I hardly see him.
We went sledding up at Soldier Hollow and the older kids loved it. My dad took Chaz as I couldn't sled and he hated it! He loved to play in the snow though and like the hotdogs we ate for lunch afterwards even more!
There was lots of snow this trip and the kids loved building snowmen. We also celebrated my dad's birthday on the second. I had fun relaxing as I got lots of help with the kids.

Sarah! You look fantastic!! I am so glad you could get away and be with your family, even without Kjell. We are hoping you get in that new house soon.
I'm back to comment on your comment--That would be so fun! Everyone would love to see you guys and maybe you could overlap your trip with Kirsten/Nic/Daphne so we could have a mini family reunion. Make it happen!
